So far, there have been nine teaser videos released for the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and it keeps getting more and more interesting. Right now, there are a lot of questions that have not been answered but we have also learned a lot in these teaser videos. You can view them all for yourself, as well as any new ones that have come out, by using the link at the end of this post.
What is the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon?
The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is the latest variant of the Dodge Challenger but it is a little bit more on the dangerous side. It is a unique vehicle because it is a production car that is set up for drag racing. Dodge has even offered some skinny front wheels to go with the drag racing idea and these wheels can even be bolted at the strip. It has been spotted being tested in Michigan and it is set to be debuted at the New York auto show in April so we will all be able to see more of this vehicle. With the teasers, though, we do know that the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon looks a bit like a Challenger that has been customized. It has LB performance stickers, visible rivets, and even hood pins, which all lead the mind to believe that it is more of a custom made Challenger. However, one thing does stand out that proves it is not: the Demon-specific hood scoop as well as the dual headlight and airflow passages. These components allow it to have it’s own unique identity.

Why Is It Important?
One of the main reasons that the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon stands out is that it is going to be a street-legal drag-racing vehicle. This is big because it is the only time it has been done before. Other auto makers such as Ford, Chevrolet, and even Dodge have released drag cars for off-road purposes. The Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger have been great for filling this need in the market but they do have one draw back: they are parts-counter vehicles without a VIN. This means that they cannot be used on a dirt two-track for drag racing purposes. The Demon will not fall in this category because it will have a VIN and will be the first of its kind to be in this position.

The Teaser Videos
The teaser videos for the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon started coming out in January and there are more set to be released until the vehicle is debuted in April. You can find a lot out from the videos but you cannot see the vehicle in its entirety, at least not yet. What the future videos will hold is still a mystery but one thing we do know is that there will be more videos and it is creating more excitement. We cannot wait to see it debuted in April to really see what it is and what it is capable of.
